I haven't had an problems with my HP's SD Card but when I connect to the computer I get a Scan and fix error message on my Win 7 PC, will it hurt anything on the Homepatrol if I do the Scan?

No it won't but I would just select continue without scanning. Your computer will most likley tell you to format it.

It won't do anything bad if you continue without scanning.

You could always make a copy of the entire SD card and keep it on your computer as a back-up and then try the scan and fix. If you reformat the card, just copy all the files back to the card from your computer.

Of course if you have performed a "Read from Home Patrol" to Sentinel lately, you already have a back-up.

Be careful with the format - it might (make that likely will) want to format in a format the HP won't be able to read.
