How does the hp 1 decide on FM or NFM on the trunk system freqs ??
It sounds to me like the systems that are NFM sound like they are set to FM....
Can you shed any light on this issue ?

Thanx !!

2 LTR systems in my area... I don't see any entries in the admin. setup for trunk systems to indicate FM or NFM... therefore i don't see how the hp 1 would know....
So I was asking upman if he could shed any light on this.

"Again, you really aren't helping here

Since you didn't fill out your user profile, your area doesn't show up in the box. So - can you link to the systems of interest?"

WELL IT ISNT A SYSTEM SPECIFIC QUESTION...I WANT TO KNOW WHERE THE HP 1 GETS THE INFO TO KNOW IF A TRUNK FREQ IS FM OR NFM ??

EXAMPLE WPPG470 LISTED AS NFM BUT THE VOLUME IS HALF OF MOST OF THE OTHER FREQS I HAVE IN THERE...LEADING ME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT IT IS SET TO FM RATHER THAN NFM.....

You look at the site modulation, like I posted. No need to shout.

It there, but you have to do some of the work.
Click on the links, click on the Call-sign and look at the emission indicators.
And the modulation comes from what is listed or not listed in the database, if not listed it defaults to auto or NFM on my BCD396T and I'm sure the same thing happens with the HP-1

Since this site is user supported/updated, then it is up to you to update or not update, otherwise the HP-1 cannot have the best accurate information.

Thanx i was looking for it under the system info where it should be oh well..

RR has been upgraded, and I think some places as you found still need to be updated/reworked, but LTR systems are usually not the most popular systems to monitor, most people only want one or two agencies like ambulances and consider the rest boring. So they don't get much input here.

Yep. Public Safety systems (usually Moto or EDACS) are the always the first to get updated because they have the "lions share" of monitoring interest. Other systems (like LTR business) are updated as they are discovered. If you see something that needs to be updated then please hit the "SUBMIT" button at the top of the page and submit verified info. As others have said this way the database is not only accurate for YOU but also everyone else :)
Thanks for being a part of RR.com!

I always update when I can... what torques me is when someone posts in a thread the answer *instead* of sharing in the database. In other words they and only they knew the info but only shared as a ego boost instead of submitting it.
