HP-1 upgrade - no more wilmington

Has anyone done the new HP-1 upgrade and then lost all Wilmington TGs? It worked before, I promise!!

Sorry, should have been more specific.... the show up in the scan database but am unable to hear anything on the TGs ..... in other words when I page through the TGs that are actively scanning, I can see the Wilmington TGs (police/fire etc) but I am not picking up any transmissions. Does that help?

Where to you live at? you will only be able to hear city of wilmington within the area of the signal broadcast. They have their own "seperate" system and it is not carried on the state simulcast.

yes, I am within the city of wilm and before I did the upgrade I had no problem hearing them....

I have the upgrade...

No problems on my HP1 from 202/I95. The dB looks fine. Unitrunker show all as normal on their system.

I assume you have police and fire services selected and the Wilmington site is not "avoided"(to monitor it it should show "Wilmington city" in white letters on a black background. try avoiding all but the Wilmington site.

Ensure the attenuator is not on.

I did check, wilmington is not in "avoid", and I have "held" the wilmington group several times and not received anything. I even ran it next to my other radio and the other radio picked it up, but the scanner did not. attenuator is not on.... so I am still at a loss... Any more ideas would be appreciated.

Try this. Avoid all of the sites EXCEPT the Wilmington site.

Ok, that worked. So now what do I do to get Wilmington and still be able to listen to the rest of the county?

I was having issues after the upgrade, so I did a force full database write from the updated hp sentinal and now its all good.Make sure you update the software then do this.Works great now.Also be sure you have your services turned on after the update defaults are worthless.

This is what I did to be able to listen to Wilmington and New Castle County at the same time. Make a favorite list that includes ONLY the Wilmington site and TG's. Then, make a favorite list that includes everything else you wish to hear. Then, scan both favorite lists.
