I've had my HP2 since June and never had any issues. Within the last 2 days I am experiencing a problem where the scanner simply stops receiving any frequencies stored in certain Favorites lists.

I have about 10 favorites lists set up, each containing multiple conventional and trunking systems. So far I have noticed that when I tune to a certain favorites list, nothing can be heard on any frequencies stored in that list. But then if I switch to another list it's working fine.

Any ideas what could be going on? Is something corrupted?

Could be the SD card going bad.

Have you tried writing your favorites list from Sentinel to the scanner again?

Agreed that the SD card is the usual suspect. Of course, make sure your range is set properly if you are location based, and that your services are turned on properly and that nothing is avoided.

Thanks, this seems to have fixed it. I cleared all user data on the scanner and then rewrote all the favorites lists from Sentinel.

Very good. If it happens again, might be time for a new card.

Yep. Get a new card now before the issue recurs. Lots of places have them on sale this time of year.

If you have a "Class 10" card already, use the reformatter program that has been mentioned here in the forums, but do not do a quick format---- you want to do a FULL (Overwrite) of the card. Then use Sentinel to Clear User Data and that will also put all the necessary files back on your card. I would do that, and then order a second Class 10 card as a backup in case your primary card fails again.

I had that happen to me , but it was on a 436. I had the NJICS system in NJ loaded as a favorite , and one day it just stopped receiving. I had full signal and it just wouldn't receive anything. I deleted and reinstalled the favorite list and it started working again.
