I have several system programmed in. I can tap the arrow at the right end of the system name row and tap prev/next to step through the systems. When I stop on a system I can tap the system name and lock on that system. Except, one sytem when I tap on the name, instead of locking it jumps to another system. I can not get it to lock on that one system. I do not have avoid set anywhere. Any suggestion?

Check the service types.
The service type of the channels is "Ham" and the HP II has Ham activated.

What this is, I set up a system that is three P25 ham repeaters in my area, each set up as a channel. I can see that the HP II scans the system very quickly. But it is the only system I have in my favorites list that I can't lock.

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like my problem is something else.

Are those frequencies in the RR database? If you attach your favorites list file, I will check it for errors. Go to the File tab in Sentinel and Export to hpe file. You will need to zip the exported file to be able to attach it. Click on Atttach files and open the zipped file.

You sure you are on the repeater output frequency, not the input frequency?

Yes, I am. I got the frequencies from a friend who is the owner of the repeaters. I just tuned up a duplexer for him to use on one of them. Even if they were wrong, my problem is not being able to LOCK the system and get the bright yellow bar on the screen.

The system I can not LOCK is named Harold P25.

Are you sure the 293 NAC code is correct? That is a default value that is often changed. Are the frequencies simulcast?
The repeater owner told me he is using NAC code 293. These are each stand alone Quantar repeaters, not trunked or simulcast. BTW, I managed a 24 channel Motorola trunked simulcast system for 16 years. Upgraded it from Smaartnet to P25, then retired at end of 2014.

I think a lot of people are missing the issue. It isn't a reception problem, Rik can't choose that system from the touch screen.

Right, I just want to be able to lock the HP II on this system, where the bar on the screen goes yellow and has a lock on it.

Hi Rik,

Have you made sure everything on that one system isn't avoided, and that the relevant service types for all the channels on that system are enabled in your scanner? That's about all I can think of that might cause what you're describing.

Also if you double-click that system instead of single-click, does it make any difference?

No avoids are set. Service type (Ham) is active. On first click it jumps to another system.
