Since day one with the HP1, I'd turn it off and press the "clock" key. The clock would stay on for a minute and then go blank. Pressing the screen would show the clock for another minute.

Is there anyway to make the clock stay on all the time? My power went on and off 10 times last night. Ever since that the HP1 clock has stayed on for 12 hours (and keeping correct time). I haven't turned on the HP1 today but the clock is still showing 14 hours later.

Anyway to make this clock stay on?

Go into advanced menu select standby options make sure default mode external power clock standby is selected .
When you turn the scanner off select clock.

Hi Tim, I went into the standby options and the setting;
Default Mode External Power:
Clock Standby

Even with this setting the clock shuts off after approx a minute, maybe 2.

The only way I've ever seen the clock stay on is when I had a power glitch (120v).
