I have an HP1
Firmware version 2.05
DB Version 12/07/2014

I recently rolled back from the open 2.06 beta and now I cannot receive anything on this channel. prior to the firmware change I was receiving radio traffic clearly now I have nothing. I have done a system analyze and other utilities on the radio and noticed that its only picking up the MEDstar dispatch channels and none of the others. what I am I missing here? is this thing just a brick now? PLEASE HELP.

Which system are you monitoring? It sounds like you have only the old analog system active. From what others have posted, Medstar was still using that, though most every other agency has migrated (or are in the process of moving) to the new system, Fort Worth Regional Radio System Trunking System, Tarrant, Johnson Counties, Texas - Scanner Frequencies . I've seen quite a few comments that the new system has a number of areas where simulcast distortion make it pretty much un-monitorable for scanner users, without taking steps to negate that.
