So last week I powered up my HP1, the power came on for a split second and it powered off. Since then the unit will not power on at all.
My batteries are brand new and there is no corrosion on the terminals.
I’m thinking the worst, that something got fried. Any ideas?

Take out the SD card and power up the scanner again. If it now boots up but gives you an SD card error, replace or reformat the SD card and use the Sentinel "Clear User Data" function on the card.

Anytime that anything strange happens to any of the SD card scanners, always suspect the SD card first.

My problem seemed to be the power cord, it’s bad and one of batteries wasn’t holding a charge. However I took your advice and reformatted the card and put some fresh batteries in and now my HP1 powers up no problem just have to get a new power cord.Thank you for your help

If you've had the unit less than a year, we can send you a replacement under warranty. Just give us a call.

I’ve had my hp1 over 4 yrs. Thank you for your help. It’s working fine with batteries right now. I primarily use my hp2 and my 325p2.,
