Hi everyone, Homepatrol 2 questions. When I go to “advanced” then “site information”, I’m wondering why some of the listed sites are red? Also, some have said HP2 doesn’t do simulcast sites well, and Utah is about to switch over to a digital phase 2 system, and of course the site that comes in best at my house by far is a simulcast site. Right now with an analog phase 1 system it works just fine. Anyone have experience with the HP2 receiving a digital phase 2 simulcast site? Thanks!

I believe that shows they have been selected to be used.
As far as simulcast you can adjust the decode using the hidden menu. It helps but it still won't be great.

I ran into this a few years ago... I can't remember if I was using the "range control" setting at the time, but anyways it has to do with the range of the sites...in other words if you are set to monitor 20 miles if the site is farther away it will not use it (in my case even in range on some). The work around was to set the range for each site to a greater range...I set mine to 50 which is realistic and it now scans all sites unless I avoid them. Normally I just scan not using range control after I got the radio all figured out.
You have to go into edit favorites list to change the range settings.

.
From the easier to read manual.....

Site Information
Gray sites indicate sites enabled by range. Red (grapefruit?) sites indicate sites disabled by range. Orange sites are avoided sites.
