No, there is not. There has been no announcement from Uniden as to whether or not the hardware can even support an upgrade..... and Uniden is the only one who would know.

I suspect that if the architecture of the 996p2 and 325p2 support DMR, the HP2 probably can. However, it's another thing entirely whether Uniden would offer such an upgrade. And as indicated, they have not to date, and have not indicated that they ever will.

Once again, UPMAN has stated here that the internals of the HP2 are identical to the 436

Once again, UPMAN has stated here that the internals of the HP2 are identical to the 436

UPMan has never stated that the internals of those 2 scanners are identical.

He has stated that the vocoder in those 2 scanners is the same, in fact the vocoder is the same on all of the Uniden scanners for receiving phase 2.

There are many more internal components in those scanners besides the vocoder.
