All,
The battery contacts on one of my HT1000 radios has failed... I remember reading in the not too distant past that the spring-loaded battery connection has a tendency to fail over time. I was hoping to replace this and cannot seem to find any of the sites in reference to the part number needed (it was $10 or so from China, i think), explanation on how to replace it, etc. The radio functioned fine prior to the pin failure (it was stored and forgotten with a battery attached and the battery burst/corroded) and the radio will still power up with power applied to the pins, but it sits too far into the case of the radio to make connection with the battery.
Any assistance would be helpful.
