Each "conventional personality" has a scan list defined as one of the "personality's" parameters. This is the scan list that will be employed whenever the personality is selected and scan is invoked.
As a practical matter, you program the radio as follows:
Create your conventional personalities. A conventional personality is a set of channel parameters that are available for assignment to zone/channel slots.
Assign your personalities to zone channel slots.
Define your scan lists. Each scan list contains members (defined in terms of zone/slot, not personality number), and data on priority (if used).
Now, go back to your personalities and assign the appropriate scan list to each one.
It may sound convoluted, but the system actually works quite well and it makes subsequent channel plan maintenance a breeze.
