• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I have a UHF LTR HT750 16 channel

Iv got CPS R6.7.4

First thing.. iv got a LTR system programmed into my radio, its for RX only thou, how can i make it TX aswell?
Not that i want OR need to.. Iv never really messed around with LTR ever.
Got this radio and found out it had ltr, and the city has a ltr system so la la laaa

i can do edacs and smartnet systems but when it comes to ltr.. no idea. be nice to know how it all programms out n such

2nd thing, under the conventional tab, the signaling is greyed out and i cant add anything to it.. why is that?
id like to have a mdc1200 or QC2 on some channels but cant see to figure out how to make that part work.

If you TX, wouldnt the admin of that LTR system have a cow if your not really affiliated with the system? thought radios programmed as LTR's would have to be recognized on the system just like a Trunked system with a key.... ok ill keep my question short though incase someone can correct me, I never really stumble upon LTR's but google time!

That defeats the purpose of wanting to TX if you dont want or have the need to

I just want to know how it all gets programmed and such
since i can do edacs systems in orions and lpe's and some TRS in spectras, LTR is just more to add onto to things i could program.

Just to add, not to be mean or irrational but even if anyone here knew how to tinker with an LTR system, I dont think anyone would generally share that kind of information over the net, its more like a "find out and do it yourself kind of thing" just like the SSE5000 for the NYPD, nobody has successfully been able to modify these radios for anything other than the original band-split, or at least aren't talking about it if they've been able to, its just secret squirrel stuff.

If you have an HT750, you aren't going to be programming any LTR systems in it. Do you have an HT750LS? Those are two completely different radios.

If they are in fact based on other ASTRO25 radios, modifying them would be cake.

I think the illegality of his use of this radio is relevant to this thread. We're simply trying to inform him on something he may or may not know about. Just trying to help.
