Dutchess County links to 14 Control/Dutchess 911
All comms are no longer on low-band. All call outs are now on Response 2 - 453.925 PL 114.8. However, dispatching (Dispatch 1)on 453.9000 PL 114.8 is still repeated on 46.360 CSQ.

Westcheser County links to 60 Control

Ulster County links to 56 Control (46.460 PL 114.8)
None known at this time.

-Peekskill's repeater is down right now. Unknown when it will be up again.
-Pound Ridge operates two crossbands, one repeating 46.26 and the other repeating 33.96. Both of these repeaters are generally poor in coverage unless you're in the Pound Ridge area, but they used to be much better (esp. the 33.96 one). Not sure what's up here.

-Yorktown only operates one repeater at French Hill with the DPL of 606 not 306. Freq. is 453.5625 and coverage is awesome for the Northern parts.
-Mohegan's repeater is also great for the Northern half of the county.
-Putnam Valley's 453.7875 DPL 503 is pretty good too, but you need to be in the Mohegan/Somers/Mahopac area to receive anything.
-Putnam Valley also has a EMS crossband on 155.205 with a frequency of 463.1375 and a PL of 123.0. Coverage is generally poor into Westchester County.
-Katonah Rptr 460.2375 DPL 065 - Fair coverage
-Croton Rptr 453.025 DPL 503 - Good Coverage
-Briarcliff Rptr 460.1125 RX DPL 243, TX DPL PRIVATE - Excellent Coverage for North-central WC

-Banksville Rptr 453.2625 DPL 261 - Fair coverage

On a side note: North Salem VAC has recently put up a UHF repeater crossing to 151.535. The frequency is 452.575 with no PL. I haven't really had time to test it, but I have heard some activity from NSVAC and LVAC units as well as 45-Medics. Reportedly Lewisboro VAC also has a crossband up on 463.675 unknown PL. I haven't had a chance to verify this yet.

If anyone wants any more info on frequencies or info on the trunking system which has currently showing increased use among the WC FD's and VAC's, PM me or reply to this thread.

correction to Pound Ridge FD's repeater, it retransmits 46.06MHz, not 46.26MHz. You can hear the three Westchester FD's that operate on 46.06 thru this repeater (Pound Ridge, Greenville(Scarsdale) & Pelham.

I don't know if it is Putnam Valley FD, but I am hearing Putnam County Fire on 453.1875MHz. PVFD is licensed for this freq., as is Hastings on Hudson FD.

Corrections to Orange County...

460.975 will be the new Bullville link to 36 Control. The other frequency posted will be their new operations repeater.

Cronomer now longer rebroadcasts 46.200 (Truck-Truck). Since most surrounding departments are on UHF, they just switch to that departments UHF Ops channel/vice-versa.

Are any of the Orange County UHF links strong enough to be heard in northern Rockland?

No. Unfortunately, the majority of the links are in the North and Western parts of the county. The Cronomer link gets down the Thruway to about Sloatsburg, but then drops out around the bend. On the other side, you lose it on the lower portion of the Palisades. I wish Fort Montgomery would put one up on Perkins tower where NYS Park Police and Town of Highlands PD have their repeater. I can hear those two all over the place.

Program all the 46.26MHz repeaters listed above. I would guess there is a 95% chance you will receive at least one of them. Just because they are not local to you does not mean you will not receive them. It depends on the output power and how high the antenna is that determines the distance the signal will reach.

That project was put on hold several times and is still on hold. They almost lost their frequencies due to not building out the the system within the time specified to the FCC.

NSVAC cross band in operation...

We just finalized the new cross band link for NSVAC. It's a UHF repeater on 452.875 pl 110.9 if memory serves thats linked to our simplex 151.535 channel, and the coverage is amazing with a portable. ESS had to come back in to tweak it, as we were not receiving tones from 60, but the issue is resolved. I'd appreciate any reception reports from listeners/users.

All I'm getting over 151.535 (156.7) / 452.875 are the dispatches. What does 45M# use as their operations channel once toned out? For example, I heard them sent to an assignment in Mount Kisco. While I heard the BLS driver on the police channel (154.650R, 173.8), asking for a resound for an EMT, unless I missed it (probably because I was then looking for Mt Kisco's BLS dispatch channel), I didn't hear the ALS unit come up on the air.

Also, what are the plans for the old 452.575 (csq) cross band (or was it a mobile extender) link to 151.535 (156.7)?

After initial dispatch on 151.535, the 45 Medics move over to the county trunked system and switch to the appropriate EMS talkgroup for the service they are responding with. The UHF cross band to VHF we put up is actually a retread of our existing UHF downlink setup that came out of 60 Control to our VHF simplex channel. We just reworked it as an in-place UHF repeater with a cross band link to 151.535. Eventually, we'll migrate our portables to UHF to give them some range, and it doesn't require other users to have to add equipment to still talk to us.

I havn't listened to it in a while, but I assisted in putting up a cross band link by the Kent schools for L. Carmel Fire. 453.6625. Supposed to have all 4 Put Co Fire freqs in it, with freq selection.
