Why not, the low band dispatching isn't going anywhere any time soon. They don't have to narrow band, so it's the perfect frequency for page outs. Even if 60 control stops answering on 46.26 as does Dutchess County on their low band they can just hook it up to their zone trunked control station for an inexpensive cross band to the county's trunked system radio, instead of buying $3,000.00 radios on it. This has already been discussed at length at chiefs meetings with the county.
