Hueytown PD

Word on FB is that Hueytown PD is now on a digital encrypted system. Anyone know whether it's JeffCo Public Service or not?

How about the FD? It's been on JeffCo Public Service for a while now. Encrypted as well now or not? Previously hasn't been.

Inquiring minds would like to know before they invest in digital scanners. I don't blame them.

Just heard Hueytown Fire on 15344 on JeffCo system in analog.

Full time Encryption on the new jeffco p 25 system
Per the request of the city council and mayor .


Fire remains analog on the old mixed mode system .
