I have gotten all of my major problems taken care of and I am broadcasting on the IBN. The only problem I am having is there is a hum when it transmits information. anyone know how to counter this?

Depends where the hum is coming from. If it's the CTCSS on the signal, you'd have to install a high pass audio filter in the feed path to filter out the low frequencies.

If it's 'ground loop' hum from connecting two ac powered items together (computer, radio), you'd probably need to buy/build an isolation transformer to put in the audio cable between radio and computer. That eliminates the DC path that causes ground loops.

I am almost 100% sure that it is because of the second one. How hard is it to do that. I am not good with things that are not plug and play.

Go to Radio Shack and buy this and the proper audio connectors to mate to your radio and sound card:

Got the ground loop isolator. I still hear the feedback on my speakers. The feedback in the broadcast is gone but now the volume is exceptionally low.
