Hi guys,
This may sound kinda stupid but I'll ask anyway, i was reading the wiki and I noticed the term HRU mentioned on various HVA units.....What exactly is an HRU supposed to be? Any help would be appreciated.

You won't hear HRU on the radio, it was on the Huron Valley Ambulance Wiki page. I was just reading it over and seen the term HRU mentioned

Thanks for that first part. I don't know if those are 10/12 hour cars. All I know is what I read. Huron Valley Ambulance (MI) - The RadioReference Wiki The ALS, BLS, Echo units I am familiar with, it was just the HRU cars I was confused about.

High response units, if I remember correctly. Probably busy basic cars doing lots of transfers... At least that's how I've always heard HRU to be, and I'm in the business.
