723 am EDT - listening to 'New Orleans Police' feed at New Orleans Police Live Audio Feed - not exactly sure who we are hearing - lots of power lines down - they are trying to figure out which roads are passable - they switch to "car to car" for some comms - those messages are not heard

Locations mentioned include - 3 Mile Rd - Airline Highway - 61 at LA 44

At 714 AM it was reported that 'EOC has radio only - phone, Internet, and First Net / ? Tactel ? are all down"

730 AM EDT - just sporadic comms at this point - no helos heard yet - all messages are loud and clear via the Broadcastify feed - not hearing any yells for ambulances or FD - time was just given as Zero 630 - "HQ 2-45" was just talking to Region 1

-------------------

At 2 AM EDT today, Twitter was full of reports of people trapped on roofs and in attics in outlying areas

Per reports, New Orleans lost all electric power and a primary transmission line tower had fallen into the Mississippi River

listening to NOPD feed still

831 am edt - car tangled up in power lines - I10 west of Causeway

816 am edt - "try to make it to Saint Johns EOC"

816 am edt - best route from Metairie to EOC? - use Airline and dodge the power lines

814 am edt - power lines down across I10 - traffic just getting by on shoulder

810 am edt - I10 is under water from 206 to 207 - 7 poles down in the water - 50 fan boats coming in from "Game Wardens" - will begin to search the flooded areas

759 am edt - 'portable radio not working all that well'

749 am edt - 61 north and south at Magnolia - lines down - not passable

746 am edt - 'Region 1's CAD is down'

this seems to be State Police traffic
