Hello all,

Sitting here in my radio shack here in SE Ohio monitoring a good VHF band opening and, hearing what appears to Hurricane Police Dept coming in on 151.155 MHz in NXDN digital mode.

Can anybody confirm if Hurricane Police Dept. is using that frequency and, if they are transmitting in NXDN digital ???

Thanks.

I'm not local to that specific area, but are you sure it was 151.155 and not 151.115? 151.115 is listed as belonging to Hurricane Utilities. Putnam County has used or is using some NXDN, so it is plausible that Hurricane PD has NXDN radios.

Thanks !!!! Actually the correct frequency is 151.1525 MHz. I was tuning it slightly off frequency on my AOR DV-1 digital receiver. I later tuned to the correct frequency and transmissions were much clearer.

Looking up additional information online of NXDN users in Putnam County finds them on that frequency

I thought it was interesting to listen to because there is not much NXDN digital traffic in my area to monitor.
