The TC-320 is a decent little radio,I dare to say "tiny" even.
Only available in UHF right now.A good alternative to SP21/CP100/CP100,ProTalk and the other 2 watters out there. It has a USB style charging port.I have sold them to a few former SP10 customers and they are happy with them so far ( it has only been 3 weeks).
I have never sold a TC-500,I just do not like them. The belt clips are flimsy, the software is unreliable.
Better to sell the TC-600.Also the TC-500 only does 5 watts in VHF too. Weird.
As for the other radios, the TC610 ( water resistant model) is nice for the price.New versions will do either MDC1200 or 2 tone paging.Have sold many of the TC610s.There was a batch issue with the PTT buttons cracking, but has since been corrected.16 channels,no frills two way.
The TC-700 for the price is a good alternative to CP200 and even HT750/PR860 in some cases.
It does the MDC1200,2 tone (encode and decode) and does DTMF signalling too.
16 channels, signalling,ANI and channel annunciation is a neat feature.
For higher end aka professional type radios I have used the TC780 ( 256 Channels, display) and it works good.5 watts in UHF and available in 450-520 bands.Have sold these mostly to security companies, guards,EMS and some Fire Departments.A few EMS agencies were able to get them same price as pagers and were programmed to vibrate for tone calls.
TC980,IP67 rated portable.512 channel is a lot,but advantage over the 780 is that its Zones can be aliased as opposed to numerical zones on the 780 only.780 can use the EX500/600 remote mic.
Uses same Remote Mics as HT750/1250.MDC1200,2 tone signalling and a hot DTMF keypad for Interconnect systems is a plus.
I doubt to ever to sell a TC500 ( same exact radios as Black Box series from Klein via Tessco).
TC780 is same exact radio as Relm RPV/U7500,HYT makes them for Relm, same goes for the Relm RP3000/3600 series and the Relm RM800 mobiles,HYT calls is TM800 mobile.
And before anyone asks, yes they are FCC type accepted.
I do not understand why they did not have 2 watt TC-320 for VHF MURS frequencies,Hunters would like them.
