    Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued.     The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I recently acquired a TC-780 and have a few questions, I also joined the HYT CPS group, I'm just awaiting approval. First question is with scanning while doing a priority sweep I noticed that it misses a good chunk of transmissions on a non priority channel which I find really annoying all I get is every other word on a non-priority channel when it does the priority sweep and I'm curious if there is a setting that needs to be adjusted, I've tried playing around with different priority sweep times I even went down to the lowest setting and that's just as bad with the lowest setting it doesn't even stop on a channel that is active. One thing I was thinking maybe it was a firmware issue. The firmware in my radio is 1.02.04.011US01 and the version of software I am using is 1.02.05 which I've noticed has a lot of typo's. So if it a firmware issue and I'd like to have the most recent firmware, where can I find it? and what is needed to upgrade the radio? Any help is appreciated.
