Hey
I might be posting this in the wrong forum -if so kindly let me know where to post such questions-
We use a Hytera RD985 repeater and PD785 subscribers.
I'm looking for a solution for linking a Hytera (non-Amateur use) repeater with Hotspots. I'm not very familiar with hotspots, but one use case would be if a radio operator goes out of range (within license range, but not in repeater range) a hotspot should be able to link the user with the repeater thus not interrupting radio comms.
Now here to my question; are Hotspots limited to Amateur use only and therefor not applicable to us? I can't seem to find any way to link a hotspot with a repeater directly without using some sort of gateway (eg Brandmeister etc) which are limited for Amateur use only.
If anyone can point me to some documentation of how to setup a hotspot without a gateway, or perhaps setup a gateway of my own, I'd hugely appreciate that. Cheers!
