I’m new to this. Received a BCD325P2 and I’m having trouble setting it up. I am in Houston County Georgia. I did find the page, but there are no frequencies listed by each department. There are only approximately 15 frequencies at the top of the page. What am I missing?

What do you mean when you say "the page"? Are you trying to program in this system? It looks like that is where you will find most public safety traffic for Houston County. If so, it is a trunked system where the listed talkgroups can appear on any of the frequencies listed near the top of the database entry. You just need to program in the talkgroups and control channels and the scanner should do the rest. You can read up on how a trunked system works here: Trunking Basics - The RadioReference Wiki

Each talk groups will appear on the assigned frequencies (control channels) they are given by the system administrator (the man who is in charge of making sure everything is running smoothly). No matter if it's WR PD/FIRE/EMS, HC SO and Mutual Aid, County Fire and EMS,Perry PD/EMS/FD they will appear on the frequency they belong to and their talk group they are using for that unit, center or etc.

Continuing on this.

I don't think we'll hear EMS again. TG 36 is encrypted and I haven't heard anything. The ERs are still open.

TG 36 is an Event channel for EMS. Monitor TG 31 since it is the EMS dispatch talkgroup to see if there is still traffic in the clear or not. I bet if they have gone to encryption then they are using ARC4 since thats as far as Macon Communications will go with encryption for some reason.

It's still showing up on 36 with dispatcher consoles on it. ADP 40-bit RC4.

All of EMS will be encrypted by the end of September. Right now, Main dispatch is on EVT.

Anything else on the rest of the system for the foreseeable future?
Yes, there will be. While I can only speak for EMS officially, more of the agencies will be going encrypted.
