I haven't been listening to my scanner lately, been getting back into CB radios and other radios. This afternoon(Sunday at about 3.30 PM), heard on the CB that there had been a multicar fatal accident on i-25 at 104th. The traffic had been backed up for hours due to the investigation. I came here to find out what had happened and didn't see anything posted. I also checked 9news and channel 4 website and they had no mention of this either. Very strange.

NORTHGLENN, Colo. -- Flight For Life was called in to aid in a car crash that killed the driver Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened on the southbound lanes of Interstate 25 underneath the 104th Avenue bridge.

The driver of an SUV lost control, causing it to roll, Northglenn police said.

John Dwayne Rivera, 43, of Northglenn, died at the scene after he was pinned under his Chevrolet TrailBlazer, police said.

Witnesses told police Rivera was weaving through southbound traffic at a high speed before he lost control, crossed three lanes of traffic and struck a barrier on the west side of the road. The vehicle rolled, ejecting Rivera and pinning him underneath.

Investigators had not confirmed whether alcohol or drugs played any role in the accident.

Rivera's survivors include a 7-year-old daughter, police said.

The crash blocked the southbound lanes of Interstate 25 for about three hours, police said.
