I 70 Tanker Accident Frederick Co

Got a call from work about 8:35am, tuned in.

Truck vrs 1 or 2 cars, double fatal (I think) Ops are winding down, tanker operation & foam. ME alerted. Crash team and MDE en route.

Chopper 9 en route, as are the others I'm sure.

Command releasing most units @ 9am.

Update: Despite initial reports not a tanker, supposedly a truck carrying steel.

The pick-up truck had crashed head-on in to one of the saddle tanks for the tractor-trailer. I can’t help noticing the amount of force it took to rip the pick-up cab right off of its frame rails. It’s sitting several feet away from the rest of the truck.

according to this link, the rig's load shifted forward and crushed the cab...
