Today I went on a road trip to Winnemucca to see what I could hear. I started out primarily to listen to the NSRS but decided against that once I realized I should probably do that running the Trunker program. Since I don't have a scanner tapped for that, I switched my listening to conventional VHF.

The RR database contains alot of freq data for Humboldt, Pershing, Churchill, Lyon and Storey counties but frankly alot of it appears to be unidentified information based on license data. As I often do, I set out on the journey ill prepared, but came up with the following freqs along the way that need to be ID'd. Anybody with clarification to any of these I'd encourage to submit the info to the database so we can get it up to par. I submitted the following 3 freqs identifications:

154.845 PL 156.7 as Humboldt Co SO.
159.21 PL 146.2 as Lyon Co SO.
155.58 in Pershing Co. as Nevada Dept of Corrections, Lovelock Correctioinal Center.

The following freqs were active along the way, but I didn't get enough traffic on them to make a definitive decision about their identities. Please ID and submit if you know. Thanks.

155.07 is Storey Control (SO and FD combined) already ID'd
155.100 Lyon Co FD?
155.145 PL 154.1 (Churchill and Pershing Cos.) NHP??
155.19 (heard "Churchill Medic 1" called, but database states sheriff freq and different FD freq.) ???
154.8825 PL 151.4 (Humboldt Co) NHP??
155.025 Humboldt Co FD??
153.77 Humboldt Co FD??
151.025 NDOT Winnemucca??
153.3425 PL 141.3 Southwest Gas Winnemucca??
155.01 Humboldt Co SO??
154.385 City of Winnemucca FD??
154.965 PL 167.9 (Pershing or Humboldt Co) ??
155.745 PL 167.9 Pershing Co???

Good work Joey
155.100 is Lyon Co. Fire
155.190 is Churchill SO, medic uses it
155.025 Is Humboldt Medics, not fire
153.770 is Humboldt Co Fire
155.01? Humboldt SO is 154.845
154.385 is Winnemucca Fire
154.965 is Pershing SO

I am no longer tracking the vhf NHP channels since they are on the way out.

Now why don't you finish the Washoe County trunked system by getting the rest of the sites. I am betting there are only 2 more that have not been confirmed: Marble and Fox Mtn. (I now see Marble has been confirmed)

I knew when you got to town you would start figuring this stuff out.

Cool JoeyC, I am working on your submissions.

Yep on the data dump for the outlying counties. Before I took over the admin part of Nevada someone deleted all the county frequencies. So we had nothing. People here complained. I put what I could find so people could have someplace to start. Humboldt County has tons of frequencies and I can't imagine there is enough people in the county that if they all talked at once they could use them all. ;)

Actually, there never were any county frequencies in the Nevada database.
Actually there were and I saved the htm pages before going on a trip so I would have them without an Internet connection. ;)

On the way out? Is that assuming the statewide 800mHz system gets rolling?

I wish I could. I think Michael is better prepared to do that than I am. No laptop, no trunker. :( And EDACS is a new language to me so....

Cool, Did you get that Michael? Since northzone is apparently keeping all that info to himself  , will you submit these to the database with the PLs I listed? :?: :?:

You don't need a laptop or a trunker program, I have neither. I submitted Verdi and Empire by just using my pro-93 and watching to get the LCN right. I first used the fcc dbase to get all possible frequencies for a given site. I would do this myself but I live about 150 miles away and don't get there very often (but when I do I get lots of info)

And yes, the nhp vhf frequencies are on the way out there is no doubt about that.

Oh so you want ME to drive the probable 150 miles to work the remaining site(s) which are probably up there at the Oregon border?

I am not keeping all info for myself. Michael gave me a warning once not to submit anything that had not been confirmed (even though the Nevada dbase is full of unconfirmed listings). So I am waiting for one of you locals to agree with what I found and I will post as you do, just as I did with your info today.

Ok, refresh my memory, when did I give you a warning?
I remember this conversation in which the thread started with your submissions being added to the DB. >>>thread<<<
