To say that is rude, I dont interfere with anybody and I basically do what the news does and films the action from a distance I have good frient at KFor that I talk to all the time at scens. Plus I dont go to crime scenes Just active fires and I dont interfere I Video tape with my Sony High Definition HDR FX1 Plus I have even given footage to Ch 5, 9 and Telemundo before so dont call me names. I am trying to get into theis field professionally. I dont give scanner Listeners a bad name I obey all laws and dont interfere. I am actually trying to get a freelance agency going for the OKC area. When you have sold footage, try again. The cops don't care that you're a wannabe stringer. They just see yet another person showing up at scenes, and yes, they consider you being there at all 'interfering', because they have to keep an eye on you.

If you blow up this easy, you'll never make it as a stringer. Stringers have to deal with rejection a lot, they have to deal with cops and firemen telling them to get out a lot, and they have, as well, to be literate. File a story (stringers have to do stories, too, not just video/pictures) as full of spelling errors, etc, as that blast, and you will be roundfiled.

Extreme care is called for on going to any scene as a stringer when you lack press credentials. You must every time be perfect in behavior, and never, ever, give any officials any 'mouth' (no matter how much they deserve it). Once you have press credentials (normally via a station you regularly sell to), it gets even worse, since now they have something to take away if you foul up. :roll:

I am not getting upse t or mad I just wanted to clear the air on my case. You can call me a lookey lou or anything else it does not bother me. It is my hobby and that is what I do.

Do as you say and stay back and dont cause any incidents and you should be ok. Some cant keep their boundrys and that is what causes the problems. Park away from the scene and shoot it from a distance. And most of all be safe.........Hoser
