You should check Radio Shack's website to see if a replacement is available.

I'm not sure how heavy a 43 is, but you could try a "cell phone" belt clip that Walmart etc. sells. I use super glue for the post half that attaches to the scanner. This also swivels, which is great for riding. I hope your not riding on the wings of your airplane  .

Ok, thanks! Do you think radio shack will still have that part in stock?

They should.
I just ordered (and received) a new battery compartment cover for my PRO-43 from them a couple months ago.

If you go to the on-line manuals portion of the website - find the parts diagram and get the number. There's also a 1-800 number on the parts diagram for Radio Shack Commercial sales. That's where you call to order parts.

That's the type of clip I prefer. (I wear 4 of them when I'm fully equipped - GPS, scanner, Vertex VX-5 and cell. Plus one real belt clip for my BT headset and one for my BT adapter.) But the RS scanners have 2 holes, and i don't like gluing the posts on, so I use the kind of post that has "wings" and drill holes for the screws in both wings. (The RS clips really suck - if they don't snap off, the scanner comes off your belt.)

Moved to RS Forum.

As a comment, I would suggest that you buy more than one. I broke the one on my Pro-96, but I noticed that it was the same clip from my Pro-92's (which stay at home mostly) so I "borrowed" one from a Pro-92 and ordered 2 from RS parts. I have ordered parts several times for several different products from the parts department and generally it is a painless and mostlly quick way to get the part you want at your mailbox in just a few days.

I phoned RS and they dont have the Pro-43 clip in stock.

Im sure one of the the other radio shack scanners has the same clip as the Pro-43. Can anyone tell me?

I dont want to order one and have it not fit right.

Thanks

Apparently you didn't do what we told you to do. You need the part number before you call the parts department. They are not trained nor are they inclined to help you find the part number, they are not a service department, they are a parts department. They do (unless they suddenly ran out of them) have the part, it is the same clip that goes on the Pro-96 and Pro-92's. Call them back, with the part number (which was easily found by looking at the RS web site) and order a couple.
