i-Call on FleetNet

Has anyone ever heard an i-Call on FleetNet before? I happen to come across an i-Call ID one day this week that got logged. Can't remember which tower it was on around me, I think maybe Kinburn. Anyhow, the ID/TG was i8945.

I did not actually hear the call or anything, just saw the ID pop up on screen.

Used super rarely. Mainly because most users do not know it exists or do not know how to set it up. Cell phones are easier and faster to use as well lol.

Chatham Kent use to use i-Call often on the old EDACS a lot, but now with them being on P25 , I haven't seen a single i Call happen. It was mostly was when the officer didn't have his cell phone with him and needed to talk to a Sergeant or another officer.

Super rare is right. The last time I heard one was a OPP Search Unit doing a phone patch to someone who was lost, trying to get info from them.
