I did a thread search to see if there was any info, so I'll ask here. Programming my Pro-197 with a private wildcard group, wondering if anyone has heard I-Call traffic on any of the TRS in the area?

I have heard it quite a bit on the BOEC system, but it was limited to maintenance, and was really boring...

ok Thanks, I see some of them listed in the King Co database as conventional rptrs so I assume they also have the possibility to link say from a WSDOT unit using EF Johnson equip to a KC/VC MOT user for interop.

I-Call doesn't have anything to do with interop, specifically within the constraints of a Motorola system.

I-Call, as applied to a Motorola system (which calls the technology "Private Call") is a dedicated talk-path between two specific subscriber units (or a dispatcher and one specific subscriber unit).

As PDXBofH stated, most of them that you will hear on the ComNet system are dull. Very. Dull. (Portland Police use them occasionally, TriMet maintenance crews use them quite a bit, AMR from time to time, and the Portland Streetcar.)

Most inter-system links are done within the infrastructure, or on demand through patching (i.e. WSDOT to KC/VC in your example - I didn't see anything in the conventional data that looked like I-Call infromation.)

Yeah, I've only heard it once on BOEC; I always assumed that with WCCA/CCOM they rather to got simplex or Nextel.
