I have a PSR410 with latest firmware.I am trying to listen to a local police department which is a Motorola typeII Smartnet system rebanded. According to RadioReference, the new Control Channels are listed, which I entered into my scanner. When the scanner lands on that system,I see the system name and the talkgroups and a strong signal indication, but no audio except for whitenoise.I dont know what I have done wrong. The rebanding maybe what is complicating the matter, but I am not sure. Thanks for any help,Steve

Which system are you trying to monitor?

Also, if it is a rebanded system, did you enter the custom tables for that? If you're trying to hear Garland, then definitely the tables are required. If Plano or McKinney, they switched to P25 (digital), & are no longer Type II.

If you are using software, see this page. Even if you're not using software, the table values to enter are in the screen shots on that page. Or, keep reading below.

Looking at the "Easier to Read" manual for your 410, it appears that TSYS object programming is about the same as for the PSR-500/-600 series. See this section for the 410. To make the change on the scanner (without software), see the section labeled "Rebanding" at the bottom of this page. (It was written for the 500/600, but I believe it will be the same for your 410.) You can find the tables in the first post of this thread. The custom tables are the same for any rebanded Motorola Type II system.
