I Got me a Pro-95....

after much deliberating, I got a 95 for $149, in lieu of the 96 at $499. I live in Orlando. I only hope we don't go digital for a while so I get good use from the 95. RS programmed it up for me. I looked at Win95. Is there anything I need to program that RS didn't? I've yet to read the manual, just playing around. Is there any post for shortcuts or FAQ's for this scanner. I'm not looking for anything in particular, just want to use it efficiently. Any advice on the 95 would be appreciated. Thanks.

Im glad to see you picked a good working scanner deal you have
there. I currently have the pro 95 also so far im really inpressed
with the scanner. I owned the scanner for a year now I never
had any problems with it. I upgraded the antenna to the telescoptect
antenna the one you can buy at radio shack. I really like scanner

Thanks. Maybe you can answer 2 questions.
1. when I scan on trunk setting how do i get it to stay on that conversation. It keeps scanning ahead.
2. how can i restrict my listening to just the talkgroup I want.

1. You cant stop (paused the scanner) while its trunking all you can do
click search until you find the frequnecy's you want to scan then
when you found the frequency u wanna listen to click on pause

to get your pro 95 to stop on a talkgroup press and hold the [TRUNK] button for 2 seconds and then it should display ID HOLD and it will then stay on the selected TG

Assuming you have the scanner in closed mode (Func 5) and have TGs already proggrammed in, All you gotta do is press program, trunk then press the up and down arrows and press lock out on the ones you don't want to hear. Make sure there is an L on the second display line to be sure it is locked out.
