My "new" addition for HF listening. Currently listening to RNZ Pacific beaming into central Ohio (13,439km / 8,351 miles). I have a Palstar SP30B external speaker inbound and it should arrive Thursday. Space for the speaker just waiting to be filled. :)

This is my third Icom IC-R75 since 2015.

Right now I'm using a Wellbrook loop. I also have a Pixel loop as a backup.

HNRD! If a radio brings you joy, that's all that counts - not how many you already have (total or of that particular model). :)
You beat me this morning. :) What the heck is HNRD?

I have heard great things about the R75. I bought a R8500 and still have it and still love it.
My most recent receiver purchase was a JRC NRD515 and is it epic. I actually am satisfied with
my HF desktop selection now. I never thought that would happen...

I'm trying to avoid going down the rabbit hole like I did before.

The Alinco just never spoke to me.
Well with all those other girl rigs around you she (Alinco) decided you were not for her or she saw you had no room/space on your rig platform!

Enjoy what you have and fret not.

FRG-7 and an R1000 -- can't beat that combo. 70's vibe, and still great radios.

I had assembled my "dream team" of receivers for sure.

I'm not saying I won't re-add something in the future, but for the moment all the SDRs and the KiwiSDR are doing a bangup job for me ... along with the R75. :)

I've been thinking of getting a DX-160, since I'm partial to Radio Shack stuff, and I like it's looks.

Is it any good?

c
My answer to that would be it's OK, but I never really liked the tuning aspect of its use.
