Though I had a scanner from Radio Shack, ,it's been about 11 years, and obviously things have changed. Mainly, I have NO clue about this trunking stuff?
I live in the Rome Georgia area - how do I know if there is any trunking systems in use, near my area (I guess I should be asking this question on the Ga. Forum?)
Is there an Idiots guide to the Pro 95 somewhere? Like "to program, push button X then Y and then Z and you are set, blah, blah, blah"
I just have NO idea where to even begin with this scanner....
Can I scan reg. frequencies AND trunked ones at the same time, with my scanner?
Should I even attempt to program it manually, or should let the guy at Radio Shack do it for me? OR....should I buy a computer cable for it, and download one of those free computer programs to program it?
OK, a general scanning question here....
Can you really be "tracked down" by your scanner? (In other words, can police etc really tell if they are being listened to by scanners etc, and can they locate the actual scanner?)
Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions!
