Is there a website where it will show any area of the country with current air traffic identified by flight so that I DONT have to type in a particular flight?

I Love FlightAware. I use it to keep tabs on local traffic, especially the business jets that fly in and out of here. Like when that Gulfstream leaves here for the French Riviera, it makes me wonder who the heck is on it. Especially considering the jet is owned by a medical insurance company. Can you say free trip?

I played around with the FlightAware radar screen and was listening online for Toronto YYZ. I was watching an Air France on the screen and heard their comms as well. When the plane gets final clearance to land, I can see the plane outside my window at about 3000 feet altitude. However, on the screen it was no where near the YYZ "dot" on the map. It seems there is a delay from where the plane is on the screen and where it actually is in the real sky. My question is: Anyone know what the delayed time is ?

EDIT: Now that I's watching the screen, can someone explain the two sets of numbers directly below the company/flight number, and the one to the right of the flight number. Thanks.

Check out the first question/answer from FlightAwares FAQ's page.

How live is FlightAware's tracking and status data?

The data displayed on FlightAware is typically six minutes delayed from real time.

The left number is altitude, (300 would equal 30,000 feet above sea level), and the right number is ground speed in knots. A little arrow can appear next to the altitude, indicating whether it is descending or ascending.
