Nice setup with the NMO mount. I do not do that anymore myself, I stick to lip mounts now, just can't drill the hole anymore.
Only recommendation I would have is you may want to use an elbow adapter for that connector to the scanner itself, straight in like that may torque that small connector at the scanner, or use a "pigtail" to minimize the risk of breaking the connector. I have had that issue in the past with SMA connectors on radio equipment in the past.
Cup holder mount takes some of the bumps, but eventually the connector takes one and snaps. (Might not be a problem unless you go off road, have lots of speedbumps and potholes in your area).
