i agree! it is so nice now to be able to download and arrange program loads, i feel like a real scanner nerd now...

by the way, don, if you see this... is there anything in the works to update the data converter so it will convert from p96 files (perhaps using the win96 key as verification) so we can make other files from the downloads in win 96? just wondering!

thanx don!

It lets you dump data right into Win96 off of RR.com. So you don't have to enter in any more talkgroups, etc.

What are you guys talking about?? I have V01.35, and I don't see any web import. Is there a newer version I need to get????
*EDIT* Nvm, I went to Don's site and see that I'm several versions behind the most current.

how do you get this feature to work?

1.Download the current version of WIN96

2.Go To File>Web Import>RadioReference.com

3.Sign In With Your RR.com user name and p-word

However,

you must be a donating user to this site in order to access this feature.

PAL 800 and web import feature

I love the new web import feature, however no matter which county I look in, It won't include the statewide Palmetto 800 system here in South Carolina. It seems not to recognize it since its not in a specific county. Will this be fixed?

There's a "Statewide" option located right after "Spartanburg" !! It brings up the system you're looking for...

If you use Win 96, this feature is a heck of a good reason to support RR with a donation. I'm going back to Cincinnati in March and was able to set up a virtual scanner for the whole metro area in about a half hour complete with TG ID's. It would have taken me hours to do this manually. Good work, Lindsay and Don. Now, if we can have the same feature work to import conventional frequencies as well as trunked systems, it would be perfect. :)

I read this thread earlier and just assumed it meant the csv like import. Then the thought of a newer version occurred to me....

Wow, this is a very nicely implemented feature. I now programmed a few banks with systems I might someday be near and would not otherwise have bothered. I'd like to see the ability to selectively download the non-trunked systems (maybe I missed it) that are also shown here.

It makes my registered Win96 and small donation here even more worthwhile.

Excellent software - focussed and complete and apparently very few bugs (I haven't noticed any). It's impressive and useful to see the web services used at RR as well.

Jim, keep a close eye on the Cincinnati info. Cincinnati is expected to bring their new APCO-25 on line around the first of April.
The next few months will bring a lot of updating to the info.

Hope you enjoy your stay in the Queen City!
