I messed my BCD996P2 up.

I had it programed by Police Scanner Outlet for my county and I see it there but there are custom scans going on and blocking it. I want to delete the custom scans that are going on so I can get back to my county. It is totally my fault because it worked great out of the box. Would like some help if possible.

if you read the manual you will learn how to operate the scanner efficently and it will answer most of your questions.

This is why it's best if you get familiar with the scanner by programming it yourself.

I have it back to normal. Thanks for the replies. One thing I learned is that this model could be more user friendly
but I am starting to understand it. Next I want to program the next county over but I want to be able to L/O if I
want.

I'm in agreement that the "Easier to Read" manual is the best place to begin. My two cents is to recommend that you only focus on the programming basics without reading the manual "cover-to-cover". As time progresses, you can always introduce yourself to new functions of interest.

That's what "Quick Keys" are for. read up on them.

When you program the new "System", you can assign a "Quick Key" which you can use to toggle the system on and off.
