I upgraded my 996P2 with DMR and not hearing alot but its reading it?????

Try searching from 144 MHz and up. Maine seems to have a lot of VHF DMR Ham repeaters. That way you'll know your setup is working because when my 996P2 stops on a DMR ham frequency it always plays audio.

Try 145.320 mhz. This repeater is in Buckfield which I believe is near you.

NP. Scanning the ham bands and monitoring DMR audio at least proves your scanner is working. The issue on the other freqs is that there isn't always audio accompanying the DMR carrier in the business bands.

Use the RadioReference database and look for DMR systems. Program a few as per my recent post of UPMans information and just have fun.
