Why cant more companys make radios like this? Most people dont buy mp3 players often, but I do check to see what has come out thats new.

more advanced mp3 player with AM radio! what a jewel! Take about easy AM Dxing, although no one really knows how the preformance is yet, but still this would get me out running listening to the morning talk shows!

Also its quite expensive, not sure why?

Oh yes that one has been around for a few months, I think, and that one isnt that expensive. But I couldnt really see myself running with that LOL

I guess it has something to do with AM radio to size ratio?

A radio receiver needs an antenna, a section to process RF into AF, and tuning controls. An MP3 player does not.
