I65 southbound at mile marker 255 (north of US 30) is shutdown. A "garbage hauler" is on fire and full involved. The driver is out.
Merrillville has 2-3 engines/trucks on scene, with 1 tanker, and haz-mat had been called out.
Last heard southbound was shutdown, there may be lanes open now. Anyone with more update post!
UPDATE: as of 4:18PM CT, there is only one Engine on scene (Engine 4) to clean up and finish up shortly.
