Icom: IC-2720H won't turn on

I have an IC-2720H that has worked well for several years. A few months ago, it forgot (dropped/lost/erased?) all of the frequencies in the memory and would not accept reprogramming. I was able to use it only my manually setting the desired frequency. Then in the last week, it would not turn on. I have tried all of the obvious solutions. Nothing works.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Icom IC2720H won't turn on

I have an IC2820H,that I have to reseat the power connectors and mic connector pretty often. Seems strange,as I have several other Icom radios without the problem. Hope this helps.

I hate to say it, but the best thing you can do with a broke 2720 is throw it in the trash. It sounds like your radio has logic issues. 2720's are not worth repairing. Our club just tossed the last of our 2720's as they were too costly to repair. They are an outdated dual bander.

Not the news you wanted to hear obviously, but you'll be better off in the long run with a new rig.
