I set my ICOM IC-705 up in the house to try out the 6/10m dipole I had to re-hang after one of the trees got pine beetles and had to come down.
I'd been using it for about 45 minutes without much in the way of contacts, I DO live 2,000 feet down in a valley after all, and took a break. It'd gone into Power Saving mode, so I started it back up when I sat back down.
I went to "Memory" in the Menu, tapped it and got normal tone you get when you tap a button, but it didn't take me into the screen allowing me pick the memory bank I want to scroll through. I hooked it up to my computer and confirmed it still had all the freqs I'd programmed in all the banks. I went ahead and re-loaded the frequencies and tried again.
This time I was able to get into"Memory" menu and access the banks I'd programmed. When I select the frequency I want it switches to the main display but the frequency hasn't change to the one I'd selected from the memory.
I can change frequencies and modes etc. manually and can change to the factory loaded scan ranges but nothing I've programmed will work. As a final resort I did a "Factory Reset" and loaded everything again with the same results.
I'm still pretty new using this radio, so its possible I'm doing something wrong though I can't figure out what it could be.

I do not have one so I cannot help - just wanted to say you may need to wait a while for someone that has a 705 to help you out.

Just have a bit of patience and someone will likely see your post.

I took a look at a couple of youtube videos on IC705 memories and it seems pretty straight forward, I wonder if yours has a problem?
