has anyone figured out how to self program w/o the software

Does anyone have the software? I can't find it anywhere. I have the radio and cable no software.

An Icom dealer can Sell you the software you can pick an aftermarket cable up on ebay

i have the software but i saw here on rr that it can be field programable

"Field programmable" means that you can get the software and do it yourself without having to go back to the dealer when you want to change something.

i have the software but some one on here said you could program it straight from the unit

my guess is it's like every other "FIELD PROGRAMMABLE" commercial radio. You must have that option selected in the PC software and then load it into the unit.

ok i figured it out thanks to a thread on hamsexy.com here is the link the only thing you have to do differently is to access it in the radio hold down the side 1 button and p0 not side 2
