IC-R3 savvy person...

Hello to all. I'm looking for help from anyone out
there that owns an IC-R3 scanner. I recently purchased
(a used) one which works very well, but it did not
come with a manual. I downloaded a pdf version of the
manual and taught myself how to do most of the
programming functions I needed. There are still a
couple functions that I couldn't get to work right,
even with the manual. It's a very complicated scanner.
If there is someone out there that owns one and really
knows how I use it WELL, I could sure use some help!
There are only about 2 functions I need help with
learning. Any help would be appreciated! Please reply asap.....

The scanner/ receiver is a very complicated radio. One of the reasons why I don't like secondary function radios like that.

I own the IC-R3. What do yo need to know?

I can tell you that if you press and hold the function key on the left, that in its self is like a new set of options.

Its one of those experiment and learn things. It is a PITA trying to retain the modulation you want for one channel. I actually have to go look at the manual again because I can't remember off hand.
