IC-R30 Tone Search

Greetings all,
Has any one worked out how to do a tone search. The two manuals just refer to each other but don't provide any information.
I have a vague memory that someone has already talked about this. I searched the forums but couldn't find anything.

In the MR scan group and the P Scan group at the bottom of the list there is a tone selection. Pause the radio on a channel and hit the scan button, scroll to the end to tone then hit the scan button again.

Note: You must be stopped on a frequency in a mode that supports Tone scan (FM or FMN).

No problem. Think it may be "tone search" vs "tone scan". I found it by searching "tone scan" only in the Icom subforum.
