Icom: ic7600 to amp connection

I have never owned hf amp before and found a good buy on an old Denton Clipperton L an
mp. Can I connect radio to amp to swr/power meter to antenna? Is the order fight? Do I need an interface between radio and amp?
I am a ham with a liscense allowing me to operate this rig.
