Hello. Is ICE the same as U.S. Customs? They were using 169.45 a lot yesterday. Normally on 165.2375, not often in the clear. Also 162.6625, 163.30, 165.3125, 165.4125, 165.4375, 165.7375, 166.4625, almost always using 100.0 Hz when comms are in the clear. I''ve heard activity on all these channels in the last two months.

For FPS, if that's the Federal Protective Service, you can hear them on 417.20R in SoCal.

They are still analog here but I did hear P25 on 168.825 a week or so ago. It was a radio check and heard radio maintenance calling Charlie 100. Isn't that a Customs callsign??? I'm pretty sure I hear Charlie 100 on the San Diego repeaters 169.450 and 163.125

Here are some freqs I recently heard activity on
162.6625 100.0 - repeater key up
165.2375 100.0 - full quieting with antenna pointed towards San Diego area
165.4375 100.0 - code 5 op
169.450 100.0 - very active in San Diego and also heard units simplex Pomona to MoVal
166.4625 CSQ - aircraft talking to ground units (simplex)
165.4125 100.0 - sector talking to field unit - strong with antenna pointed towards San Diego
350.025 AM - HAMMER and various Omaha aircraft tracking targets
282.425 AM - HAMMER radio check TEST TEST TEST

Here are some P25 logs (likely Border Patrol)

166.9125 - on I-8 near Alpine (San Diego County)
167.100 - "how do you read control?"
163.650 - radio checks and later a surveillance (some units encrypted)

Theres tons of encrypted P25 in the 166-169 range. Over at ScanDiego.com you can find a freq list from a BP radio. I plugged them in and its 99% encrypted but sometimes you get lucky, so it might be worth programming, especially on a BCD996T since it can skip ENC transmissions.

Oh yeah... also program the California DOJ freqs from the database.
And if you have the Southern California frequency book there is a section on FBI. Both agencies are worth programming thats all I will say.

Does anyone what freqs that ICE or FPS uses in CA near Arcadia in LA County.

There is also the Patrols that mainy Protect Federal Building.

However they also help PD's with Persuits
And By themselves thay conduct Plenty of Narc Arrests
They Operate on:
417.2000
417.2500
417.4250
412.4000
415.2000
418.0750
417.2000
415.2000

Also I HIGHLY reccomend taking a trip to San Carlos, CA
in the Peninsula of The SF Bay Area and picking up the guide listes on this site

http://www.scannersunlimited.com/booklist.html

they run 20. each but I feel are worth Much more
as they are complete, accurate and
Updated EVRY year...

SO good Luck

That makes sense. The "C" units are the Comm Techs.

FPS does pursuits in NoCal? The most exciting thing I have heard in Socal is a long code three run for backup once.

Usually drug or sex activity in a federal parking structure, susp. package...or some protestors.
