I heard Irwindale PD this morning on the non ICIS channel. Are they doing simulcast to the old 460.250 FMN?

Are you positive it was Irwindale PD? Was it digital or analog? I remember hearing encrypted traffic on their dispatch freq not long after they made the switch.

I understand the ESGV site continues (for last few weeks) to experience issues and goes into site trunking mode, so some users like Irwindale and La Verne are now back to legacy frequencies.

Guess it probably does not help these cities don't have their own radio shops with the ICIS site farmed out a commercial radio vendor (that's how they ended up with odd mix of business frequencies).

Stay tuned

So does this mean that Covina, Azusa, Glendora are also on old frequencies?

Looks like ICIS picked up a new license and frequencies for a site up on Oat Mt.

Right - which has been awfully darn convenient for my relatively frequent trips to Culver City 8*)

But I think that pool of frequencies came from the County. I wonder if we'll see a new allocation for Culver City before too long...

I seem to remember they reused Culver City freqs for Oat Mtn and that the signal was aimed toward the SCV and Ventura County.

New ICIS Frequencies

ICIS received the new frequencies from a donor. They were previously business frequencies, and are now public safety. The new frequencies will be P25 and omnidirectional. The old, directional, Culver City frequencies will stick around, on the old system, until all ICIS agencies have migrated to the new P25 infrastructure.

Do you guys ever hear any traffic on Pasadena PD Access on TG 2484? Is this used for mutual aid with South Pasadena and other adjacent cities? I noticed there old FM frequency of 482.3375 is also an access channel. Maybe these will be used for New Years? I had a brief conversation with a Sopas PD officer and he told me they sometimes use ICIS so not sure if they use this or go on Pasadena PD TG. He also told me that they were going to switch over but had issues with an antenna.
